Very Nice Capture Rob !

Description
Mute Swans are native to Europe and they were brought to the States in the 1800's. Escapees have developed wild Populations since that time. They are called Mute Swans because as the name suggests they are quiet. They do not have the same vocal structure as our native birds and they can only make hissing or snorting sounds. When they fly in a large flock you can hear their wings make a droning sound while the native swans have silent wingbeats. I captured a shot of this guy while working on the upper St. Clair River today. I guess he thought wo came to close. Enjoy.
